Ustrasana (Camel Pose ) For Anti-aging
Kneel on the floor with your hip width and thighs perpendicular to the floor. Rotate your thighs inward slightly, narrow your hip points, and firm but don't harden your buttocks. Imagine that you're drawing your sitting bones up,into your torso. Keep your outer hips as soft as possible. Press your shins and the tops of your feet firmly in to floor.
kneel on your knees and bend backwards. This Ustrasana or Camel pose is the most powerful Aasana as it stimulates thyroid glands .
Benefits:
Compresses spine, relieving back problems. Opens rib cage, lungs and digestive system. Stimulates nervous system.
Great for lungs and many bronchial problems.
Strengthens back and shoulder muscles, improves flexion of neck , stretches throat.
Flushes fresh blood through kidneys, help eliminate toxins.
Helps overcome menstrual discomfort, improves digestion.
Note:
People suffering from severe back and neck injury, high or low blood pressure, migraine or other severe headache should perform this Aasan or Posture under the guidance of a Yoga teacher. Else better to avoid the practice.
